Obesity prevention is of vital strategic importance on a global scale. There are a number of sources of information regarding this, such as the International Obesity Taskforce website and the NICE guideline CG43 to name but two. At present, on this website, we are concentrating on treating obesity, but are ever mindful of the importance of prevention and of close liaison between agencies addressing these complementary issues
