Map of Obesity Management Activity
The map on this page is part of an assessment exercise being conducted with the National Obesity Forum (NOF) to identify centres involved in obesity care, whether inprimary care, hospital based, or specialist.
As an example, please see either the MEND map of child obesity intervention centres, or the map of bariatric surgery centres in the UK.
Please note that this is still a demonstration map - please help NOF make it a comprehensive resource.

The media carried reports of a "fat map" of Britain in the summer of 2008. This was compiled by a health information firm called Dr Foster Intelligence, and was based on the Quality Outcomes Framework (QOF) data collected by GP practices. One version of the map was published in The Independent and can be viewed on their website. Please note that this link does not contain information about the extent to which the QOF dataset was complete.
More information on GMS QOF can be found on the Department of Health websites.
